Current Sensor senses current in a wire or system whether it is high or low and sends the data and indicates it.
This sensor senses the current and provides output in terms of voltage. The voltage is directly proportional to the current present in the wire. There is a voltage drop in a system whenever current passes through it. Whenever there is a current carrying conductor, the magnetic field is generated. The current sensing element is the resistor.
There are two methods of current sensing are
- Direct current sensing~ Depends on Ohm’s law.
- Indirect current sensing~ Depends on Ampere and Faraday’s Law.
- Supply Voltage: 4.5V ~ 5.5V DC
- Current: -20A ~ 20A
- Sensitivity: 100mV/A
